Original post: Police are shutting down streets in the Denny-Blaine neighborhood in search of a bank robber who was reportedly dressed in women’s clothing.

Police said they were called to 39th Avenue East and East John Street around 9:30 a.m. for a report of an armed man, “reportedly wearing lots of makeup, women’s clothing and a brunette wig,” seen taking off from a car crash with a rolling suitcase.

A person with the same description had earlier robbed a bank near East Madison Street and McGilvra Boulevard about 15 minutes earlier, according to Seattle police. The man took off from the bank in a silver Hyundai.
