A 23-year-old man was arrested for investigation of the burglary of a West Seattle deli store Saturday after he allegedly fled the business and was found by a police dog, Seattle police said in a Web post Sunday.
Officers responded at about 1:12 a.m. to 911 calls of a burglary of the deli in the 9000 block of 35th Avenue Southwest.
Police said a witness saw a man break the glass front door of the business and rush inside. Officers searched inside the store but didn’t locate anyone.
During an area search with the assistance of a canine unit, the dog found the suspect in the 9200 block of 35th Avenue Southwest, police said.
Police took the suspect into custody and booked him into the King County Jail.
