2 separate bank robberies; 1 suspect caught

Seattle police said one person is in custody following a bank robbery that occurred in the 400 block of Broadway at around 11:15 this morning.

They are still, however, searching for the suspect in a another, earlier bank robbery in the 4100 block of University Way Northeast shortly after 9 a.m., police said.

The suspect who remains at large was described as a white man in his late 20s, 5 feet tall and with a thin build, light brown hair and a goatee, according to police. Police told Seattle Times news partner KING5 that the suspect in the University District incident robbed a Wells Fargo branch and had two large kitchen knives. He was described as looking sick and having bloodshot eyes, police said.
