A man was shot when occupants of two different vehicles started shooting at each other in Des Moines this evening, according to the Des Moines Police Department.

Officers responded to reports of numerous shots fired in the area of South 218th Street and 29th Avenue South around 7 p.m. and located a 28-year-old male who had been shot.
