Man killed in Chehalis logging accident

The Associated Press

CHEHALIS — The Lewis County sheriff’s office says an 18-year-old Winlock man has been killed in a logging accident.

Chief Deputy Stacy Brown says the young man was preparing logs to be hauled out of a logging operation on Green Diamond property in Chehalis when a piece of equipment was lowered Wednesday, accidentally crushing him.

Brown says the man was working for ENB Logging and Trucking. He was working with his father.

The young man’s name was not released.

The state Department of Labor and Industries has been notified.
