Are you ready? Be prepared for planned, or not-so-planned, disruptions in downtown Seattle today as May Day events and possible May Day mayhem make things a bit messy: Commute could be disrupted in Seattle by May Day rallies, marches. Check back with us throughout the day and into the evening as events unfold.

And are you ready for a high of 84 degrees today? Oh yeah, baby! Don’t get too smug, though. Cooler temperatures and showers are forecast for tomorrow and Saturday: National Weather Service forecast

Remember when we said morale in the ranks of Boeing engineers was mighty low as more and more of their jobs were being shifted out of the Puget Sound area? Well, Boeing is dismissing that notion, and execs say they are confident the engineers will deliver on time the full series of new planes needed to win big against rival Airbus. Wonder what the engineers have to say?

And the gun wasn’t even as advertised … A guy busted Tuesday in connection with the sale of heroin and illegal guns in Magnolia allegedly told an undercover customer that he had an MP5 submachine gun for sale. Turns out the gun was a .22-caliber rifle modified to look like the much more expensive and powerful MP5. And we can’t help but note that the guy apparently was doing business out of his parents’ home.

The Sounders are doing rather well this season, but let’s not forget that Seattle Reign FC of the National Women’s Soccer League is 4-0 this season.
