Missing Sequim woman’s backpack found

The Associated Press

PORT TOWNSEND, Wash. — Port Townsend police say they have a high level of concern for a missing Sequim woman after her backpack was found in bushes near where she was last seen.

Police and sheriff’s detectives are looking for 23-year-old Lauryn R. Garrett who was last seen May 1 at a park-and-ride in Port Townsend as she was on her way home from Sedro-Woolley.

The Peninsula Daily News reports the backpack was discovered by the woman’s mother.

Fliers seeking information about Garrett say she is 5-foot-7, about 125 pounds with brown hair. She has a tattoo of a bird behind her left ear and a tattoo on her right wrist of Washington state.
