Officers investigate stabbing in Covington

Authorities are investigating a stabbing that occurred in Covington tonight, according to the King County Sheriff’s Office.

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a 911 call from a Covington residence and were told by the person who answered at the residence that there wasn’t any issue there, spokeswoman DB Gates said. Shortly after they arrived, the sheriff’s office received a call from a Covington emergency clinic about a man who had been brought to the clinic with stab wounds.

“We determined the two incidents were related,” Gates said. “He had been stabbed at the residence.”

The stabbing victim was taken to Harborview Medical Center in critical condition.

No arrests have been made, the sheriff’s office said.
