Rain measured in inches fell this weekend

The Associated Press

The National Weather Service says several inches of rain fell in some parts of Western Washington over the weekend.

Some areas got more than 4 inches in a 48-hour period that ended 1 p.m. Sunday, including near Lilliwaup in the Olympics and near Skokomish on the Hood Canal.

At least 1 inch of rain fell in Seattle and surrounding cities, while Tumwater recorded more than 2 inches of rain in that 48-hour period.
