Seattle woman arrested after Renton stabbing

A 24-year-old Seattle woman has been arrested after an overnight stabbing in Renton.

The Renton Police Department said in a statement today that they responded to the 200 block of Rainier Avenue North about 1:45 a.m., finding a 30-year-old man with a “deep” stab wound in his stomach. Officers quickly made contact with the woman nearby and booked her into jail on suspicion of first-degree assault.

Police did not describe the relationship between the suspect and victim, but said the stabbing did not appear to be random. Officers also did not describe the status of the victim, only saying that he went to Harborview Medical Center for “immediate surgery.”
