Spokane area: stolen front end loader is found

SPOKANE VALLEY (AP) — A 40,000-pound front end loader stolen last weekend from a Spokane Valley construction site has turned up — about two miles away.

The machine valued at about $100,000 turned up Wednesday.

KHQ-TV reports the Spokane County sheriff’s office is investigating the theft.

A manager at the construction site told Deputy Ken Dodge that the loader was driven away — right through a security fence.

The manager says a universal Caterpillar key could have been used to steal it.
