Police are looking for a suspect in connection with a fatal shooting that occurred last Wednesday in Federal Way.

Bernard Bellerouche, 27, is considered armed and dangerous, the Federal Way Police Department said in a Tuesday night news release.

Anybody who knows where to find Bellerouche should call the police department at 253-835-6856, police say. Or, anonymous tips may be phoned into to the Tip Line at 253-835-6799 or put online at www.safecityfw.com “Submit an Anonymous Tip.”

Early Tuesday morning, a man was fatally shot while driving with his wife in the car at a Federal Way apartment complex.

The 22-year-old was rushed to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, where he was pronounced dead. His wife was shaken but unhurt.

Chris Norman of Federal Way police told KOMO that officers responded to reports of a shooting just after 1 a.m. and found the man had been shot through the windshield.

The scene is about four blocks from a fatal shooting last Wednesday at another Federal Way apartment parking lot. That case, in which police have identified Bellarouche as a suspect, officers responding to the Silver Shadow Apartments on Pacific Highway South found a man dead in the parking lot. Police said the man died of a single gunshot wound. His name has not been released.

Monday night, a man was shot when occupants of two different vehicles started shooting at each other in Des Moines, according to the Des Moines Police Department.

Officers responded to reports of numerous shots fired in the area of South 218th Street and 29th Avenue South around 7 p.m. and located a 28-year-old male who had been shot. Police believe the occupants of two vehicles shot at each other, but when officers arrived both vehicles had gone, the Police Department said in a news release.

The injured man was sitting in an uninvolved vehicle. He would not give  police any information about what had occurred. He was taken to Harborview Medical Center with unknown injuries.

Bellerouche is described as being 6-foot-2 and 295 pounds.
