Boy, 16, arrested in Marysville shooting

A 16-year-old Marysville boy has been arrested in connection with a shooting over the weekend that left another teenager critically wounded.

At about 1 a.m. Sunday, Marysville police were alerted that a 17-year-old boy had been shot in the neck in an apartment on the east side of town. The boy was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle with life-threatening injuries.

On Sunday night, the Marysville Police Department’s SWAT team arrested the shooting suspect at a residence east of Cedarcrest Golf Course, the police said in a news release.

The boy was arrested on suspicion of first-degree assault and first-degree unlawful possession of a firearm.
