Now here’s some news to our liking: President Obama is scheduled to present the Medal of Honor to a Seattle native who saved a fellow soldier’s life and secured the evacuation of other wounded Americans under continued fire during an ambush in Afghanistan in 2007. Kyle J. White, 27, will be the seventh living recipient of the Medal of Honor for actions in Iraq or Afghanistan.

But the Driver’s Seat Road Rage Survey, released Monday, also said we’re more likely to make lane changes without a signal and to be talking on our cell phones while behind the wheel. Man fatally shot in Federal Way: A man has been fatally shot at a Federal Way apartment complex. KING reports the 22-year-old was found about 1 a.m. Tuesday and died at a hospital.
And in Des Moines, a man was shot last night when two people in cars started shooting at each other. We’re thinking gangs … Details not yet available.

A memorial Monday at Hillsboro Stadium in Oregon drew hundreds of people to honor Mick, the Portland police dog who died in a shootout with a robbery suspect last month. The dog’s handler, Ofc. Jeff Dorn, was wounded in the exchange of gunfire.
Speaking at the memorial, Dorn thanked everyone for their support, KGW reports.
Dorn’s children had particular praise for the 2-year-old German shepherd. Mick, they said, saved their dad’s life.
