Tuesday Memo: Woman set on fire … Office Depots closing … A heartwarmer

National Weather Service forecast

National Weather Service forecastSome headlines this morning:

Good morning this cloudy Tuesday.

Here are a few stories to get you started:

Weather: If you can bear a chance of showers forecast for today, you’ll be rewarded with a partly sunny day tomorrow. But then rain returns on Thursday. What did you expect, two sunny days in a row?

Do you shop at Office Depot? The company is closing 400 stores across the county. We don’t know yet if they’re closing any of the 40-some stores in Washington state.

And now some good news: a small story from The Yakima Herald-Republic:

“Thank you for bringing her back,” the veteran said. “She’s my life. This is all I have in the world.”
