Washington man, 18, killed in logging accident

CHEHALIS  (AP) — The Lewis County sheriff’s office says an 18-year-old Winlock, Washington, man has been killed in a logging accident.

Chief Deputy Stacy Brown says the young man was preparing logs to be hauled out of a logging operation on Green Diamond property in Chehalis when a piece of equipment was lowered Wednesday, accidentally crushing him.

The Daily News of Longview identified the victim as Cole Bostwick.

Brown says the man was working for ENB Logging and Trucking. He was working with his father.

The state Department of Labor and Industries has been notified.
