Wednesday Memo: Hash oil blast … New Surface … Stuck duck

Another hash oil explosion: This one, in Puyallup, damaged a car and a home. The explosion sent debris far and wide, but there were no injuries. It’s no wonder these makeshift hash oil operations blow up. Marijuana leaves and stems and highly flammable butane are used in the oil-making process.

Two of Nordstrom’s top executives have switched roles, the Seattle-based retailer said Tuesday.

Microsoft’s newest Surface product: The company showcased it’s Surface Pro 3 yesterday in New York. It’s a larger, lighter and touted as a product that’s somewhere between a tablet and a laptop. Although there were expectations prior to yesterday’s unveiling, Microsoft did not release a mini version of its Surface line. Do you own a Surface tablet. Let us know in our poll.
