Woman injured when truck hits cow near Ellensburg
ELLENSBURG — A Yakima woman was hospitalized after the truck she was riding in struck a cow on Highway 97 north of Ellensburg Saturday night, reports The Yakima Herald-Republic.
The Washington State Patrol said Ronald L. Hines, 69, of Yakima, was going south when his Chevrolet pickup struck a cow in the roadway at 10:10 p.m. His passenger, Lois E. Hines, 68, was taken to KVH Hospital in Ellensburg and was released early this morning, a nursing supervisor said.
The extent of the cow’s injuries was not available.
