Woman’s body found in water near Edmonds marina

The body of a Seattle woman was found floating in the water near the Edmonds marina this morning, according to Edmonds police.

Authorities were called shortly before 6 a.m. to the marina’s L dock, where they found the woman and pulled her from the water.

She was already dead, police said.

The most recent address for the woman, who is believed to be 50, is in South Seattle.

A nearby vehicle apparently belonging to the woman and some of her personal effects were found near the marina, police said.

The Snohomish County Medical Examiner and detectives with the Edmonds Police Department are investigating the death.
