Body found, homeless man held in Renton

The body of a man police believe to be homeless was found at a Renton shopping center Sunday morning and another homeless man, believed connected to the death, has been arrested.

Police said the body of a 52-year-old man was found about 8 a.m. in an alcove at the back of a closed business in the 2800 block of Northeast Sunset Boulevard.

The victim, pronounced dead at the scene, had suffered obvious blunt force injuries to the head, police said.

Witnesses told officers that a second homeless man who had been acting belligerently was staying nearby. Officers found him at a nearby store, and their investigation connected him to the death, police said.

Police say they are not looking for any other suspects, but ask anyone with information on the incident to contact police, with the case number, 2014-6661.
