Capitol Hill woman facing assault charge after boyfriend stabbed

Seattle police this morning released more information on last night’s stabbing on Capitol Hill.

Police responded to an apartment in the 1300 block of East John Street just before midnight after receiving reports of people yelling inside. As officers approached the apartment they heard a man yelling, “Don’t kill me! Stop stabbing me!”

Officers knocked on the door and a woman answered. She was taken into custody while other officers found the 27-year-old victim lying on the floor with stab wounds in his chest and abdomen, police said.

Officers found a bloody kitchen knife with an 8-inch blade in the apartment.

Officers applied pressure to the victim’s wounds while waiting for medics. He was taken to Harborview Medical Center with life-threatening injuries, according to police.

The 31-year-old woman was booked into King County Jail for investigation of assault.
