SPOKANE, Wash. — Teams are checking in Friday in Spokane for this weekend’s Hoopfest.
The event calls itself the biggest 3-on-3 basketball tournament on Earth with a quarter-million players and spectators. About 7,000 teams are scheduled to play on 450 courts across 42 city blocks.
Hoopfest includes a festival with food and music.
Play could start in the rain. The Weather Service forecasts a 40 percent chance of showers Saturday in Spokane but Sunday should be mostly sunny.
