The Seattle Safe Streets Task Force is hoping you recognize this bank robber nicknamed the “Summertime Heat Robber.”

He’s believed to have robbed at least two different banks in the past week, most recently a Key Bank branch in Issaquah on Wednesday. Authorities also believe he robbed a Wells Fargo Bank branch in Des Moines on Saturday.

Authorities say he is between 5-feet-5 and 5-feet-9, with thin, dark hair.

During the robberies he’s worn black sunglasses and a dark baseball cap, which led investigators to give him a nickname that acknowledges the his penchant for sun protection. He’s also worn different hooded sweatshirts and gloves in at least one robbery.

Anyone with information that can help identify Summertime is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). Callers may remain anonymous and are eligible to receive a cash reward of up to $1000.

Callers may also call task force officer Detective Steve Hoover at 425-452-7868.
