A 26-year-old man is dead and another man was injured in a rolling drive-by shooting in Seattle overnight, according to Seattle police.
The incident began with men getting into an argument outside Club Volume on South Washington Street shortly before midnight. Two of the men got into a car with two others in the back seat and drove away. However, they were followed by people in another car, police said.
Then in the 400 block of South Jackson Street near King Street Station, a car pulled alongside the car that was being followed and someone in the other car started shooting, striking the driver and the passenger in the front seat.
The wounded driver drove from the scene of the shooting, but the car came to a stop in the 5900 block of First Avenue South. Someone called 911 to report the car’s location, police said.
The driver was dead when officers arrived. The 22-year-old passenger in the front seat was taken to Haborview Medical Center, where he was being treated for serious, but not life-threatening injuries.
The two passengers in the back seat of the car were not injured.
