More details in Skagit River bridge collapse

The Associated Press

Federal officials are releasing documents today from their investigation into the collapse of the Interstate 5 Skagit River bridge at Mount Vernon.

A section of the span fell into the water in May of last year after a truck carrying an oversize load hit the structure. Two other vehicles fell into the water and three people survived.

The National Transportation Safety Board is investigating and is expected to release its full findings this summer.
