Saturday Memo: She locked her kids up … Wallet returned … Graduation day

A woman has been accused of locking her three young children in a filthy room in their Tacoma home. She’s pleaded not guilty to charges of criminal mistreatment and unlawful imprisonment.

Some good news from our Rant & Rave feature: A missing wallet returned.

Graduation ceremonies today: The University of Washington and Seattle Pacific University hold their graduation ceremonies today. SPU’s will surely be a heartfelt gathering following the recent shooting that left one student dead and two others wounded. Activities begin at the UW at 12:30 p.m. Seattle Pacific University’s undergraduate commencement will begin at 1 p.m. at Seattle Center’s KeyArena.

Felix does his job, but the Mariners offense fails to do its part and the M’s lose to Texas, 1-0.

This should send up some red flags: An 18-year-old kid near Tigard, Ore., is accused of killing the family cat and leaving it under his parent’s bed and setting several fires in his room ..

Weather: Cloudy and gray today through Tuesday, but a tad warmer by Wednesday. National Weather Service forecast
