TOLEDO, Ore. (AP) — The small plane crash in Toledo killed the 51-year-old pilot from Newport and a 4-year-old girl from Seattle. The girl’s mother survived.
KGW reports the family was traveling Saturday from Newport to Seattle when the plane went down in the parking lot at the Georgia-Pacific paper mill.
Police say Douglas Nebert was piloting the plane. His 32-year-old stepdaughter, April Gleason, and her 4-year-old daughter, Zoey Wahl, of Seattle were in the plane with him.
Nebert and Zoey died in the crash. Gleason was airlifted to Good Samaritan Hospital in Corvallis.
