2 SPD officers injured in traffic collision

Update at 5:28 p.m.: The Seattle Fire Department says four people were transported in stable condition from the scene: two police officers, a male and female; and two other males.

Original post: A Seattle police officer has been injured in a traffic collision, according to police.

According to a Police Department tweet, the officer was taken to a hospital after the collision at 12th Avenue and East Spruce Street around 4:30 p.m.

The officer’s condition was not immediately known. It also wasn’t known if anyone else was injured in the crash.

This post will be updated as soon as we have additional information.
