Two men shot deadTwo young men were shot to death early Sunday in Seattle’s Central District.  

Swift water rescuers retrieve dog: A dog riding in the back of a truck was rescued when the truck rolled into the river in Winthrop.

Vancouver man charged with letting father dieAuthorities say a Clark County man let his elderly father die of malnutrition, leaving the body to decompose, while he drained the dead man’s bank account. 

Two of six climbers who died named in news reports:  Mark Mahaney, of St. Paul, Minn., and guide Matt Hegeman.
