Thursday Memo: Pot brownies … Cat on the move … Summer sun

Pot brownies given to teens: A Puyallup man is accused of supplying marijuana extract that prosecutors say his 16-year-old daughter used to make brownies that later sickened several of her classmates.

Cat: ‘I don’t want to move’: George the cat traveled 12 miles, crossing three highways and neighborhoods where coyotes are known to roam to get back to the Portland home where his family used to live. George is back at the family’s new home where his owners plan to keep him on a leash, at least for a while anyway.
