Video shows Redmond computer heist

Redmond police have released a video they hope might help catch thieves who took more than $25,000 in merchandise from a computer store Sunday morning.

Police say the thieves were able to get into a back room of The Mac Store at Redmond Town Center about 7 a.m. and steal 16 MacBook Pro laptop computers in less than 30 seconds.

A similar burglary at the same store in April netted $23,000 in computers from the same room,

In Sunday’s burglary, video taken by a store security camera shows four men entering the room, taking boxes from a shelf, putting some of them into a bag, and then leaving.

Police, responding to an alarm from the store at 7:13 a.m., found all doors to the business locked.

Anyone with information on the case is asked to call Redmond Police at 425-556-3500 or call 911.
