Wednesday Memo: Soldier from state killed … Sherman manor … School lunch tossed

Bet you it’s some house:  New digs for Seahawk Richard Sherman, who has purchased an NBA star’s house. Don’t you want to see what this house looks like?

He lost his lunch. It’s not what you think, but it’s shameful.  The Kent School District says it’s sorry that a middle school cafeteria worker took back and threw away the lunch of a student who didn’t have enough money in his school account to pay for it. He was short 26 cents …

What caused the Skagit River bridge to collapse? We’ll learn more today when the state releases a report with more details on what happened.

A young man from Sprague, Wash., has been identified as one of the five soldiers killed by what’s being investigated as friendly fire in Afghanistan on Monday. Justin Clouse, 22, was described as a “gentle giant” with a big heart. Sprague is located along Highway 395, southwest of Spokane.
