Three teens rescued a man after they noticed him floating in Lake Washington and brought him back to shore near a Kirkland park Monday afternoon.
Bystanders on a dock at Kirkland’s Settler’s Landing Park noticed a man on a paddleboard heading south along the shore around 4 p.m., according to the city of Kirkland. Soon afterward, the teens noticed him in the water floating near the paddleboard about 50 yards off the private dock.
The three swam to the paddleboarder and brought him to the private side of the dock by the park, called 911 and initiated CPR until the Kirkland Fire Department arrived.
The 54-year-old man regained a pulse as he was taken to a hospital.
