Blue Angels will cause closures of I-90 through Sunday

The Boeing F/A-18 jets of the U.S. Navy Flight Demonstration Squadron will race at a speed of about 700 mph and perform aerobatic and low-flying tricks at the Boeing Seafair Airshow on Saturday and Sunday.

The squad plans to practice for the show Thursday and Friday over Lake Washington.

The Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) has scheduled Interstate 90 bridge closures during the practice and the full show.

The closure schedule, between I-5 and Island Crest Way on Mercer Island, is as follows, according to the WSDOT:

Thursday, July 31: 9.45 a.m. to noon and 1:15 p.m. to 2:40 p.m.

Friday, Aug. 1: 12:15 p.m. to 2:40 p.m.

Saturday, Aug. 2: 12:15 p.m. to 2:40 p.m.

Sunday, Aug. 3: 12:15 p.m. to 2:40 p.m.
