Burn ban declared for unincorporated Snohomish County

A burn ban has been declared for the unincorporated areas of Snohomish County due to high fire danger and expected hot and dry weather conditions, the county announced today.

The ban will go into effect at 8 a.m. Saturday and prohibits all outdoor burning except for recreational fires that are less than 3 feet in diameter and 2 feet high, and are for cooking or pleasure only.

All outdoor burning permits, including those issued by the Puget Sound Clean Air Agency, are suspended until the ban is lifted.
