How will you cope with I-90 lane closures?

Starting Friday night, the state is funneling westbound Interstate 90 into a single lane at Bellevue Way Southeast  for a week as part of a repair project to the bridge between Bellevue and Mercer Island.

Traffic is expected to back up as far as 10 miles, according to state highway engineers.

For regular I-90 commuters, what are you doing to prepare? Will you change your route? Carpool?  Or take a well-timed vacation?

Take our poll and then leave your thoughts about the situation in the comments below, some of which we may use later in our print coverage.

Need something to entertain yourself while you sit in traffic? Check out our I-90 bridge closure playlist.
