An 18-year-old man was arrested Tuesday after someone opened fire on a plumber’s work truck in Kent, police said.
Kent police say that a plumber arrived at a home on the 13000 block of Southeast 247th Place around 2 p.m. for an appointment. He heard people arguing inside the home and decided to drive away and not complete the service call, according to police.
As the plumber drove away, a gunshot struck his truck, police said. The plumber, who was not wounded, did not see who had shot at him. Police said he drove away and called 911.
Police responded and heard gunshots coming from inside the home. Officers determined an 18-year-old man lived inside the home and used PA announcements to call out to him. The man came outside and was arrested, police said.
Detectives recovered evidence at the scene, although police did not elaborate.
