Man shot in the foot in stable condition at Harborview

A 19-year-old man is in stable condition at Harborview Medical Center after accidentally shooting himself in the foot, according to the Seattle Fire Department.

Seattle Police said the incident occurred near 16th Avenue Southwest and Southwest Henderson Street. Witnesses say the man handed the gun to a second man, who ran off.

The 19-year-old faces no charges so far, said police spokesman Drew Fowler.
