Seattle police are looking for the armed robber who slashed a man with a knife during a robbery on Lake City Way early Sunday morning.
The 39-year-old victim was smoking outside his apartment building in the 14000 block of Lake City Way at 2:30 a.m. when a man approached him and asked for a cigarette, police said. When the victim pulled out his cigarettes, the stranger demanded the man’s wallet, according to police.
The victim told the armed man that he didn’t have his wallet with him, so the armed man grabbed for the victim’s watch. After a struggle, the armed man was able to take the watch and flee.
The victim noticed a large gash on his arm and went inside his apartment and called 911, police said.
The Seattle Fire Department responded and treated a two-inch gash on the victim’s arm before taking him to Harborview Medical Center.
