Nude man breaks into Seattle home, recites Scripture to family

Seattle police said a nude man, apparently high on LSD, led officers on a chase along Lake Washington this morning after smashing into a home and sermonizing to the family inside.

The family was asleep inside their home in the 400 block of Lake Washington Boulevard East just before 2 a.m. when they heard someone crash through their front door and begin loudly reciting Scripture, according to police. A woman in the home called 911 while her husband armed himself with a baseball bat to protect his wife and two young children, who were holed up in the upper floor of the house, police said.

Arriving officers spotted a nude man walking down the street, talking to himself.

The nude man took off running along Lake Washington Boulevard when he spotted the officers, police said. However, two officers were able to catch up and arrest him.

The man told the officers he had taken LSD, police said. He was taken to Harborview Medical Center for treatment.
