Update at 9:58 a.m.: Police now say the victim, a 21-year-old man, is in stable condition.
In addition to the vehicle, police say a home in the 1200 block of South Forest Street was also damaged by gunfire. No one at the home was injured and the family living there was unaware a shooting had occurred, police said.
Update 9 a.m. | A spokeswoman at Harborview Medical Center said that a man who was dropped off at the hospital after being shot in Beacon Hill in Seattle is in critical condition.
Seattle police say they were called to the 2900 block of 12th Avenue South at 3:04 a.m. on reports of gunfire in the area. Officers found spent shell casings and one car struck by bullets, but no apparent victim, according to a police report released this morning.
Officers were called to Harborview around 4 a.m. after a man showed up at the emergency room with gunshot wounds, the report said. Department gang unit detectives are investigating.
No arrests have been made.
Original Post: Someone was shot shortly before 4 a.m. today in the 2900 block of 12th Avenue South in Seattle, according to Seattle police.
The shooting victim was dropped off at Harborview Medical Center by someone not long after the shooting, police said on Twitter. The identities of the person who was shot and the person who dropped the victim off at the hospital were not available this morning.
The victim’s condition also wasn’t immediately available.
Police say they have no information on any suspects.
