Saturday Memo: Bad Boeing joke … Charges dropped against tree cutter … Sun, sun, sun

Boeing employees “cowering?” Uh, don’t think so. Boeing’s top man got himself into a pickle commenting on the prospects of retiring (he’s not) by saying “the heart will still be beating, the employees will still be cowering.” A joke gone bad. Yep, pretty bad.

Columnist Danny Westneat wrote about this recently, asking the city if they weren’t going overboard on charging the volunteer with a crime. And then this happened: City drops tree-cutting charges against former Magnuson Park volunteer

Capitol Hill Block Party: It’s into full swing. Go out and have some fun!

Weather: Sun, Sun, Sun here we come … Three days of sunshine and warm temps! National Weather Service forecast
