Tuesday Memo: Bellevue prostitution … Passed out on a flagpole … Bertha poll

National Weather Service forecast

National Weather Service forecast

Doctor and prostitution ring: No charges have been filed, but the feds are investigating an Eastside anesthesiologist in connection with a large-scale Asian prostitution ring based in Bellevue. This reminds us of the Seattle anesthesiologist who was accused of sexting during surgery. These are doctors, mind you.

This could have been a lot worse: A man passed out while repairing a flagpole on top of the federal courthouse in Yakima yesterday. Luckily his harness kept him from falling 75 feet to the street. Firefighters used a ladder truck to rescue him.

A new snag in the tunnel-digging saga: It will take an additional month to dig a pit needed for accessing Bertha’s business end so it can be hoisted up for repairs. Are you surprised there’s another delay in the project? Vote in our poll.

Sounders lose: The league-leading team lost last night: Galaxy scores early and often to topple the Sounders FC 3-0

Weather: HOT! National Weather Service forecast
