All lanes on westbound 520 bridge are open

UPDATE: 9:40 a.m. | The westbound lanes of Highway 520 heading into Seattle are back open after a crash this morning.

 

The lanes reopened around 9:30 a.m., according to the State Patrol.

UPDATE: 9:10 a.m. | All westbound lanes of Highway 520, at the floating bridge east highrise, are closed this morning after a three-car accident.

State Patrol spokesman Trooper Chris Webb said he expects the roadway to reopen soon. He said there were no serious injuries.

According to the Washington Department of Transportation Twitter feed medics are on scene.

ORIGINAL POST:

The westbound lanes of Highway 520 are completely blocked as of 8:50 a.m. due to a collision at the east highrise of the bridge, according to the state Department of Transportation.

WSDOT is asking people to avoid taking the bridge in that direction.
