Bremerton ferry to make extra round trip for Seahawks fans

A Seattle-Bremerton ferry will make an extra round trip Friday evening to accommodate heavy foot traffic because of the Seahawks game.

The 1,200 passenger Sealth will depart Bremerton at 10:15 p.m. and Seattle at 11:30 p.m., according to Washington State Ferries. Passengers should expect heavier-than-normal foot traffic on ferries from Bremerton and Bainbridge Island on Friday evening, and they are encouraged to pre-purchase return ferry tickets online or at a kiosk.

Workers mistakenly allowed an extra 484 passengers to board a Seattle-bound ferry from Bremerton on Aug. 15. The Cathlamet was forced to turn back to Bremerton after staff realized the mistake and had to¬†delay the ferry’s departure until enough passengers disembarked.
