An employee of a North Admiral coffee shop was attacked and robbed Monday as he waited for the business to open, Seattle police said.
The victim arrived at work near 41st Avenue Southwest and Southwest Admiral Way about 4 a.m. and sat on the front steps to await the manager’s arrival, police said. The employee was reading from a tablet computer when three men walked up and asked for money, according to police.
When the victim said he didn’t have any money the men began hitting him in the face and head, police said. They took the victim’s tablet, cellphone and bag.
Responding officers didn’t find the assailants. Medics treated the victim at the scene and gave him a ride home.
