Drowning, baby death at Potholes State Park

MOSES LAKE (AP) — A woman drowned while inner-tubing with family and friends in a creek at Potholes State Park near Moses Lake.

The Grant County sheriff’s office says the 30-year-old fell off her tube in some rapids Sunday afternoon and did not surface. Divers found her body.

KNDO reports the drowning was the second death of the weekend at the state park.

A young couple who were camping awoke Saturday and found their 10-month-old son dead. Deputies do not suspect a crime.
