The Highway 520 bridge will close again this weekend from Montlake Boulevard to I-405, for ongoing construction of the new, six-lane crossing.
The shutdown lasts from 11 p.m. Friday until 5 a.m. Monday. Crews will be paving the new West Connection Bridge where the future floating section meets the existing highway, near Foster Island. And paving will continue on land, just east of Lake Washington. Neighbors are warned to expect lights from night work, as well as some vibrations.
Besides the usual bridge shutdown, ramps will be closed for repaving at the 124th Avenue Northeast interchange, just east of I-405.
Mariners fans are encouraged to allow extra time to detour using other highways. The team hosts the Chicago White Sox at Safeco Field on Saturday at 6:10 p.m. and Sunday at 1:10 p.m.
