Kent police locate missing developmentally disabled woman

Kent police say a mentally delayed woman who went missing Saturday has been found.

Emilie Lorraine Zangara, 38, was located about 4 p.m. Monday, police said Tuesday morning.

Zangara’s roommate, who is also developmentally disabled, reported that Zangara left their apartment Saturday on foot, police said.

Police were concerned because Zangara has been diagnosed with bipolar disorder and needs daily medication along with a two-week injected dose of medication. Zangara did not take her medication or any personal items with her, police said.

Zangara’s family feared that due to her mental state she could easily be manipulated and taken advantage of, police said.
