Police arrested a 39-year-old Seattle man in the Sodo neighborhood Saturday after he fired a shotgun during a fight with several other men, a spokesman for the department said.
The incident happened around Fourth Avenue South and South Lander Street, close to a Shell gas station. Witnesses who called 911 to report the incident told police that as a fight between the men escalated, the man grabbed a shotgun and fired it, hitting a building.
Officers arrived quickly and took the man into custody. He was booked into King County Jail on investigation of discharging a firearm in public.
No injuries were reported.
